The hand remote has easy-to identify, up and down buttons plus a low-battery indicator that lights when the battery needs to be recharged (a process that is easy and convenient). The state-of-the-art hand control features the latest lithium-ion, manganese-based battery pack, which has total discharge protection and no memory effect. A safety feature will not allow the lift to lower when there is not enough power to rise again. Self-release suction cups adhere securely to smooth tub floors while seat flaps rest on top of the tub to allow for a stable transfer. A high backrest with molded neck support can be folded forward using just one hand. The maintenance-free actuator is both powerful and silent. Other features include: a stable rust-free frame, reinforced lifting scissors, bottom plate and a nonslip textured surface. The bathlift disassembles into easy-carry parts: back, seat and hand control; comes with removable, washable covers. Orca's back has adjustable side laterals; the XL model features a 400-lb. weight capacity, but does not include flaps, headrest and belts. Average number of lifts cycles—12 and requires six hours to recharge.
